ABOUT GRIETJE
Grietje (born 1971 the Netherlands) has been a silent artist her whole life. People noticed her creativity already in an early age. Going to the art academy was not a question, a bussinesswoman could earn more. After so many years, she now follows her passion and started painting and drawing again. First she followed her perfectionism, bur this never felt good. Now she follows her feeling and she is letting go of the results. This is hard for her, but is is also liberating and it's giving her a sense of freedom. She's making Krioel Art. Her daughter said: "Mom you always made Krioelen, curved lines." She likes this word and this is typical Grietje's art, you will recognize all the curves in every painting. She paints from her soul and from her uncounsciousness. Nature and people (mainly the eyes, the gateway to our soul) are tend to appear in her artwork. You can also find her artwork within old rescued furniture or in sculptures and photography.
